Them is an American black horror anthology series, created by Little Marvin, who also serves as showrunner. The series premiered on Amazon Prime Video on April 9, 2021. A second season consisting of eight episodes, titled Them: The Scare, with Deborah Ayorinde returning in a new role, will premiere on April 25, 2024.
The anthology series explores terror in America. The first season of Them, subtitled Covenant, is set in Compton circa 1952. It centers around a Black family who move from North Carolina to an all-white Los Angeles neighborhood. Their idyllic home becomes ground zero where malevolent forces, next door and otherworldly, threaten to taunt, ravage and destroy them. The second installment, subtitled The Scare, is a new story set in the 90’s, one of the most iconic decades for film, music and fashion, especially in Los Angeles.
