Mary & George is a British historical drama television miniseries created by D. C. Moore and directed by Oliver Hermanus, Alex Winckler and Florian Cossen. It is based on Benjamin Woolley’s non-fiction book The King’s Assassin (2017) about the affair between James VI and I and George Villiers, 1st Duke of Buckingham. The seven-part limited series was released on Sky Atlantic in the United Kingdom on March 5, 2024 and is scheduled for release on Starz on April 5, 2024 in the United States.
The series Mary & George, is an audacious historical psychodrama about a treacherous mother and her son, who schemed, seduced, and k–led to conquer the Court of England and the bed of King James I. Starring Academy Award-winner Julianne Moore and Nicholas Galitzine.
