The Rookie Season 6 Episode 2
The Rookie is an American police procedural c–me drama television series created for ABC by Alexi Hawley and produced by ABC Studios and Entertainment One. The series premiered on October 16, 2018 and was renewed by ABC through to the sixth season, which is set to premiere on February 20, 2024.
The series follows John Nolan (Nathan Fillion), a man in his forties, who becomes the oldest rookie at the Los Angeles Police Department. Nolan uses his life experience, determination, and sense of humor to keep up with rookies 20 years his junior. The Rookie is based on real-life LAPD officer William “Bill” Norcross, who joined the department in his mid-40s. Norcross is still in the LAPD and also serves as one of the executive producers of the series.
