Lights Out 2024
Lights Out is an American action thriller film directed by Christian Sesma (On Bloody Sunday, Shoot the Hero, Lost Time, AWOL-72, The Night Crew, Vigilante Diaries, Paydirt, Take Back, Every Last One of Them, Trophy Wife, Section 8). The screenplay is written by Chad Law and Garry Charles, with additional writing by Brandon Burrows. It is scheduled to be released by Quiver Distribution in select US theaters and on VOD on February 16, 2024.
The action film is produced by Brandon Burrows, with Lonnie Ramati and Christian Sesma serving as executive producers. Lights Out stars Frank Grillo, Mekhi Phifer, Jaime King, Dermot Mulroney, and Scott Adkins.
Lights Out tells the story of a homeless veteran named Michael “Duffy” Duffield (Frank Grillo), who meets a talkative Ex-Con, Max Bomer (Mekhi Phifer). Bomer notices Duffy’s skills after he gets into a bar fight and offers him a well-paying “job” in underground fight clubs. They form an unlikely partnership after their first fight and decide to travel to LA so Duffy can atone for his past and Max can pay back a crime boss, Sage Parker (Dermot Mulroney). Duffy then enters Sage’s fight club and eventually wins, but it also gets him tied up in the c–me world and offered jobs he can’t refuse. The deeper Duffy goes in this world, the more deadly it gets.
