Code 8: Part II 2024
Code 8: Part 2 is a Canadian science fiction action film serving as a sequel to the 2019 film Code 8. It is directed by Jeff Chan, who also directed the first Code 8 and the 2014 horror thriller Grace: The Possession. Chan co-wrote the screenplay with Chris Paré, Sherren Lee, and Jesse LaVercombe. Code 8: Part II will have its streaming debut on Netflix on February 28, 2024.
The film is produced by Robbie Amell, Stephen Amell, Jeff Chan, Steven Hoban, Matthew Kariatsumari, and Chris Pare. Robbie and Stephen Amell reprise their roles as Connor Reed and Garrett Kelton from the original film. Sirena Gulamgaus, Altair Vincent, Alex Mallari Jr., Moe Jeudy-Lamour, Aaron Abrams, and Jean Yoon also star.
In Code 8: Part 2, Connor (Robbie Amell) is out of prison and working as a janitor at a community center, having cut ties with his former c—inal associate Garrett (Stephen Amell). But his attempt at staying out of trouble is destroyed when he is forced to help 14-year-old Pav escape from a pack of corrupt officers led by Sergeant King. Newly launched robotic K9’s are sent to track Pav down, while Connor finds himself once again reaching out to Garrett and his crew for help, but can he trust the man who landed him in prison in the first place?
The film is set in the fictional Lincoln City, where around four percent of the people possess special abilities. Code 8: Part 2 is premised on the journey of a teenage girl fighting to get justice for her slain brother at the hands of corrupt police officers, and becoming a witness to its cover-up.
