Avatar: The Last Airbender, aka Avatar: The Legend of Aang, is an American adventure fantasy television series created by Albert Kim, who will also serve as showrunner. It is a live-action adaptation of the animated television series of the same name (2005-2008). Avatar: The Last Airbender is scheduled for a streaming debut on Netflix on February 22, 2024, and will consist of eight episodes.
The series follows Aang, the young Avatar and the last living Airbender, as he learns to master the four elements (Water, Earth, Fire, Air) to restore balance to a war-torn world threatened by the militaristic Fire Nation. Alongside his newfound friends Sokka and Katara, siblings and members of the Southern Water Tribe, Aang embarks on a quest to save the world and fight back against the fearsome onslaught of Fire Lord Ozai. But with a driven Crown Prince Zuko determined to capture them, it won’t be an easy task.
