The Buccaneers is a British period drama television series created by Katherine Jakeways, based on the unfinished final novel of the same name by Pulitzer Prize-winning American novelist Edith Wharton, published posthumously in 1938. It is set to premiere with the first three episodes on November 8, 2023 on Apple TV+, followed by new episodes weekly, every Wednesday through December 13.
The series episodes are directed by BAFTA Award winner Susanna White, Charlotte Regan, and Richard Senior. The Buccaneers is executive produced by Jakeways, White, Beth Willis, and George Faber. Starring Kristine Froseth, Alisha Boe, Josie Totah, Aubri Ibrag, Imogen Waterhouse, Mia Threapleton, and Christina Hendricks.
