The Elderly 2023
The Elderly (Spanish: Viejos) is a Spanish elderly-themed horror film directed by Raúl Cerezo and Fernando González Gómez (Zombie World 2, Estandar), in their second collaboration after co-directing the acclaimed horror sci-fi The Passenger (2021). The screenplay is written by Javier Trigales, Raul Cerezo, and Ruben Sanchez Trigos, from a story by Trigales and Cerezo. The Elderly is set to be released by Dark Star Pictures in select US theaters on October 13, 2023 and on VOD and Blu-ray on October 31, 2023.
The horror film is produced by Carlota Amor Moreno, Mamen Espinosa, and Jose Luis Rancaño. It had its world premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival on July 16, 2022 where it bagged the Cheval Noir – Best Actor award for lead actor Zorion Eguileor. The Elderly also stars Gustavo Salmerón, Paula Gallego, Irene Anula, and Ángela López Gamonal.
