Our Father, the Devil (French: Mon Père, le Diable) is a sophisticated moral thriller written and directed by Ellie Foumbi, in her feauture directorial debut. It is set to be released in select US theaters on August 25, 2023, by Cinedigm.
The thriller drama film is produced by Ellie Foumbi and Joseph Mastantuono. Our Father, the Devil had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 7, 2021. It screened in numerous film festivals and picked up 24 wins so far, including the Audience Award – Narrative at the Tribeca Film Festival; Best Feature Film and Best Female Feature Director at the Washington DC Independent Film Festival; Best Actress and Best Actor at the Harlem International Film Festival; and Best Narrative Feature and Best First Feature at the American Black Film Festival, among others.
