Unicorn: Warriors Eternal is an American adult animated fantasy television miniseries created by Genndy Tartakovsky for Cartoon Network’s night-time programming block Adult Swim. It is produced by Cartoon Network Studios and Williams Street. The first two episodes of the series are scheduled to premiere on Adult Swim on May 5, 2023, and will be available on HBO Max the following day; reruns will air on Toonami.
Set in a steampunk-inspired world, the supernatural animated-action series follows a team of ancient heroes who reawaken to fight an ominous force throughout eternity. When the reawakening of our heroes comes too early and manifests in the bodies of new unsuspecting teenage hosts, they must find a way to protect the world against the prevailing darkness while navigating the unexpected laughs and humor that come with teen angst and emotions.
Unicorn: Warriors Eternal took almost 20 years to get made, with Tartakovsky pitching it to various studios with little to no success. It was eventually picked up by Cartoon Network and HBO Max and was publicly announced in October 2020. The series stars the voices of Hazel Doupe, Demari Hunte, and Tom Milligan.
