NCIS: Los Angeles is an American action drama television series combining elements of the military drama and police procedural genres which premiered on CBS on September 22, 2009. It is the first spin-off of NCIS and the second series in the NCIS franchise. It was renewed through to the 14th season, which premiered on October 9, 2022. On January 20, 2023, it was announced that the series would end after the fourteenth season, with the series finale airing on May 21, 2023.
The series follows the exploits of the Los Angeles-based Office of Special Projects (OSP), a fictitious branch of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) that specializes in the high stakes world of undercover surveillance. The division is charged with apprehending dangerous and elusive c–minals, who pose a threat to the nation’s security. Special Agent G. Callen (Chris O’Donnell), a “legend” assigned to the OSP, leads an elite team of undercover operatives armed with the latest in high-tech gear and sent regularly into life-threatening situations, as they battle enemies both foreign and domestic.
