Law & Order Season 22 finale
Law & Order is an American police procedural and legal drama television series created by Dick Wolf and produced by Wolf Entertainment, launching the Law & Order franchise. It is the second longest-running drama series in the history ot television, next only to its spin-off Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999-present). Airing its entire run on NBC, Law & Order premiered on September 13, 1990. It was renewed through to a twenty-second season, which premiered on September 22, 2022. On April 10, 2023, the series was renewed for its 23rd season.
Set and filmed in New York City, the series will continue the classic two-part or bifurcated format that was created for its original run. The first half-hour is the investigation of a c–me and apprehension of a suspect by New York City Police Department detectives; the second half is the prosecution of the defendant by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.
