The Flash 2023
The Flash is an American superhero film directed by Andy Muschietti (It: Chapter One and It: Chapter Two, Mamá). The screenplay is written by Christina Hodson and the screen story by Joby Harold, based on the DC Comics character of the same name created by Robert Kanigher and Carmine Infantino. The film is influenced by the comic book storyline Flashpoint, featuring multiple DC Comics characters. The Flash is intended to be the 13th installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) and is set to be released by Warner Bros. on June 16, 2023 in US theaters nationwide.
Worlds collide in “The Flash” when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to prevent his mother’s m—er. He becomes trapped in an alternate reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. He enlists the help of his younger self, an older retired Batman, and the Kryptonian castaway Supergirl in order to save this world.
The Flash is produced by DC Studios, Double Dream, and the Disco Factory, with Michael Disco and Barbara Muschietti serving as producers. It is scheduled to have its world premiere at CinemaCon on April 25, 2023, prior to its release in the United States. The Flash stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen / The Flash alongside Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdú, Kiersey Clemons, and Antje Traue, including both Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton, reprising their respective versions of Batman.
