Tori and Lokita (French: Tori et Lokita), is a 2022 Belgian-French drama film written and directed by two-time Palme d’Or winners Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne (The Kid With a Bike, Lorna’s Silence, Darkness, L’Enfant, The Son, Rosetta, The Promise, Two Days, One Night, The Unknown Girl, Young Ahmed). It is scheduled to be released by Janus Films on March 24, 2023 in select US theaters.
The drama film is produced by Jean-Pierre Dardenne, Luc Dardenne, Denis Freyd, and Delphine Tomson. Tori and Lokita premiered at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival on May 24 2022, where it competed for the Palme d’Or and won the festival’s special 75th Anniversary Award. The film also picked up more awards including Special Mention – Best International Film at the Jerusalem Film Festival; World Competition – Best Film at the Pune International Film Festival; Euskal Gidoigileen Elkartea Award at the San Sebastian International Film Festival; and Grand Audience Award at the Seville European Film Festival.
