Rodeo 2023
Rodeo is a French drama film, directed by Lola Quivoron, in her feature directorial debut. The screenplay is written by Quivoron in collaboration with Antonia Buresi. It is scheduled to be released by Music Box Films on March 17, 2023 in select US theaters.
This critically acclaimed film is produced by Charles Gillibert. Rodeo had its world premiere in the Un Certain Regard program at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Coup de Coeur prize and was shortlisted for the Queer Palm. The film won more awards in film festivals where it played, including Prix de la Critique – Long métrage français (Critic’s Prize – Feature film) and Prix du jury – La meilleure réalisatrice française (Jury Prize – Best French Director) for Lola Quivoron at the Champs-Élysées Film Festival 2022; Golden Puffin – New Visions at the Reykjavik International Film Festival 2022; Best Actress at the Seville European Film Festival; Holden Award for Best Script- Special Mention, Prize of the City of Torino – Best Actress, Special Jury Prize – International Competition at the Torino Film Festival; and Audience Award – Altered States at the 2022 Vancouver International Film Festival.
