The Outwaters 2023
The Outwaters is a horror thriller film written and directed by Robbie Banfitch, in his feature directorial debut. Banfitch also stars in the movie and serves as cinematographer, editor, producer, and sound designer of the film. The Outwaters is scheduled to be released in select US theaters on February 9, 2023.
This horror movie plays out over three memory cards found in a sun-drenched section of the Mojave Desert. The footage within is that of a foursome, who set out to make a music video while camping, led by a charismatic LA filmmaker. Their trip starts out uneventful, then one night everything changes, sending the foursome on a mind-bending trip through terror.
The Outwaters had its world premiere at the New Jersey Film Festival on February 12, 2022. The film won the Jury Award for Best Feature at the Unnamed Footage Festival 2022.
