Skinamarink 2022
Skinamarink is a Canadian horror film written and directed by Kyle Edward Ball, in his feature directorial debut. It is set to be released by IFC Films in select US theaters on January 13, 2023 with a streaming release on Shudder at a later date.
This much-talked-about horror film is executive produced by Jonathan Barkan, Josh Doke, Ava Karvonen, and Edmon Rotea. Skinamarink premiered at the 26th Fantasia Film Festival on July 25, 2022. It also screened at the TOHorror Fantastic Film Fest in Italy and at the Ramaskrik Film Festival in Norway last October. The film stars Jaime Hill, Lucas Paul, Ross Paul, and Dali Rose Tetreault.
With a limited budget of $15,000, which was mostly crowdfunded, the film was made mostly using equipment borrowed from the local Film and Video Arts Society of Alberta.The film was shot digitally in Ball’s childhood home in Edmonton, Canada.
