M3GAN (stylized as MΞGAN and pronounced “Megan”) is an American science fiction horror film directed by Gerard Johnstone, who previously directed the acclaimed 2014 horror comedy Housebound. The screenplay is written by Akela Cooper from a story by Cooper and James Wan. M3GAN is scheduled to be released in US theaters by Universal Pictures on January 6, 2023.
This sci-fi horror thriller is produced by Jason Blum and James Wan under their Blumhouse Productions and Atomic Monster Productions banners, respectively, alongside Divide/Conquer. M3GAN had its world premiere on December 7, 2022 at the TCL Theatre in Los Angeles. The film stars Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, Ronny Chieng, and Brian Jordan Alvarez. The role of M3GAN is portrayed by young actress Amie Donald, with Jenna Davis as the voice of M3GAN. In some scenes of the film, a real robotic prototype was used.
