Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (aka Indiana Jones 5) is an American action adventure film starring Harrison Ford as archaeologist Indiana Jones in the fifth and final installment of the Indiana Jones film series. It continues the story after Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008). The film is directed by acclaimed filmmaker James Mangold (Heavy, Cop Land, Girl Interrupted, Kate & Leopold, Identity, Walk the Line, 3:10 to Yuma, Knight and Day, The Wolverine, Logan, Ford v Ferrari). The screenplay is written by Mangold, Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth, based on the characters created by Philip Kaufman and George Lucas. Indiana Jones 5 is scheduled for release theatrically in the United States on June 30, 2023, by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
This action adventure film is the first film in the Indiana Jones series not directed by Steven Spielberg nor with a story written by George Lucas.
