Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon is an American mind-bending adventure thriller film written and directed by Ana Lily Amirpour (A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, The Bad Batch). It is scheduled to be released by Saban Films on September 30, 2022 in select US theaters and on VOD.
This wacky thriller is produced by John Lesher, Adam Mirels, Robert Mirels, and Dylan Weathered. It had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 5, 2021, where it won the Fanheart3 Award – Nave d’Argento for Best OTP, and Best Soundtrack. It also received Best Film Score award at the Gerardmer Film Festival 2022, and Best Original Music at the Sitges- Catalonian International Film Festival 2021.
