Masking Threshold is an Austrian horror film directed by experimental filmmaker Johannes Grenzfurthner (Kiki and Bubu: Rated R Us, Glossary of Broken Dreams), from a screenplay he co-wrote with Samantha Lienhard. It is scheduled to be released by Drafthouse Films exclusively in Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas on September 30, 2022.
This horror thriller film was produced by art group monochrom, with Günther Friesinger, Julianne Gabert, Jasmin Hagendorfer, and Johannes Grenzfurthner, serving as producers. It had its world premiere at the Fantastic Fest on September 25, 2021 and played at several genre festivals since then.
