Law & Order Season 22
Law & Order is an American police procedural and legal drama television series created by Dick Wolf and produced by Wolf Entertainment, launching the Law & Order franchise. It is the second longest-running drama series in the history ot television, next only to its spin-off Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999-present).
Airing its entire run on NBC, Law & Order premiered on September 13, 1990, and completed its twentieth and initially final season on May 24, 2010. On September 28, 2021 the series was renewed for a 21st season, which premiered on February 24, 2022 on NBC. Law & Order was renewed for a twenty-second season which is set to premiere on September 22, 2022. Cast member Anthony Anderson would not return for the season while new cast members include Mehcad Brooks as Detective Jalen Shaw and Claire Coffee appearing in an undisclosed role.
Set and filmed in New York City, the series will continue the classic two-part or bifurcated format that was created for its original run. The first half-hour is the investigation of a c–me and apprehension of a suspect by New York City Police Department detectives; the second half is the prosecution of the defendant by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.
