House of the Dragon Season 1 Episode 6 HBO
House of the Dragon is an American fantasy drama television series that is a prequel to the television series Game of Thrones (2011-2019), both based on the “A Song of Ice and Fire” books by George R. R. Martin. The prequel series is created by Martin and Ryan J. Condal for HBO, with Condal and Miguel Sapochnik as showrunners. House of the Dragon premiered on August 21, 2022 on HBO and HBO Max, with the first season consisting of ten episodes. Five days after the premiere, the series was renewed for a second season, with Condal to serve as the sole showrunner for the second season.
The series is based on portions of Martin’s 2018 novel Fire & Blood. It is set two hundred years before the events of Game of Thrones, and 100 years into House Targaryen’s reign. House of Dragon chronicles the events leading up to and covering the Targaryen war of succession, known as the “Dance of the Dragons”.
