– Emma D’Arcy (adult) / Milly Alcock (teenage) as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen: daughter and firstborn child of Aemma Arryn and King Viserys. She rides the young dragon Syrax.
– Rhys Ifans as Ser Otto Hightower: Alicent’s father, the Hand of the King, who serves King Viserys and the realm. He is a bitter political rival of Prince Daemon.
– Steve Toussaint as Lord Corlys Velaryon: Known as the “Sea Snake”, he is the head of House Velaryon and the most famous seafarer in Westerosi history.
– Eve Best as Princess Rhaenys Targaryen: A dragonrider and wife of Lord Corlys. Known as the “Queen Who Never Was”, she was once a candidate to succeed her grandfather, King Jaehaerys, as ruler of the Seven Kingdoms, but was passed over in favor of her younger cousin Viserys due to her being a woman.
– Sonoya Mizuno as Mysaria: A foreign-born dancer who rose to become Prince Daemon’s most trusted ally.
– Fabien Frankel as Ser Criston Cole: A skilled swordsman from the Dornish Marches, he is the common-born son of the steward to the Lord of Blackhaven.
– Olivia Cooke (adult) / Emily Carey (teenage) as Lady Alicent Hightower: The daughter of Ser Otto Hightower, raised in the Red Keep and a part of the King’s inner circle. Known as the most comely woman in the Seven Kingdoms.
– Graham McTavish as Ser Harrold Westerling: Lord Commander of the Kingsguard who has served since King Jaehaerys. He was once a powerful knight and is tasked with watching over and protecting Princess Rhaenyra.

House of the Dragon Season 1 Episode 3 HBO
House of the Dragon is an American fantasy drama television series that is a prequel to the television series Game of Thrones (2011-2019), both based on the “A Song of Ice and Fire” books by George R. R. Martin. The prequel series is created by Martin and Ryan J. Condal for HBO, with Condal and Miguel Sapochnik as showrunners. House of the Dragon is scheduled to premiere on August 21, 2022 on HBO. Its first season will consist of ten episodes.
The series is based on portions of Martin’s 2018 novel Fire & Blood. It is set two hundred years before the events of Game of Thrones, and 100 years into House Targaryen’s reign. House of Dragon chronicles the events leading up to and covering the Targaryen war of succession, known as the “Dance of the Dragons”.
Principal photography took place in the United Kingdom.
