Bandit 2022
Bandit is a biographical c–me film directed by Allan Ungar (Tapped Out, Gridlocked). The screenplay is written by Kraig Wenman, largely based on the 1996 true c–me book “The Flying Bandit” by Robert Knuckle with Ed Arnold. Bandit is scheduled to be released by Quiver in select US theaters and on VOD on September 23, 2022.
The film is based on the true life story of Gilbert Galvan Jr, aka The Flying Bandit, who escaped from a Michigan prison in 1984. Galvan crossed the border into Canada where he went on to rob 59 banks and jewelry stores while being chased by a police task force. He still holds a record for the most consecutive r–beries in Canadian history. Bandit stars Josh Duhamel, Elisha Cuthbert, Nestor Carbonell, and Mel Gibson.
