Angry Birds: Summer Madness is an animated children’s streaming television series developed by Rob Doherty and Scott Sonneborn for Netflix. The series premiered on January 28, 2022. Season 2 is set to be released on June 24, 2022.
This animated comedy adventure series is based on the Angry Birds franchise by Rovio Entertainment, and loosely based on the characters in the style of The Angry Birds Movie films. Angry Birds: Summer Madness features Red, Stella, Bomb, and Chuck as pre-teens at Camp Splinterwood, with their teacher being Mighty Eagle.
In late 2018, Rovio announced that a new, long-form Angry Birds television series was already in production for a 2020 release.In early 2020, it was announced that the series titled Angry Birds: Summer Madness, would premiere in 2021 on Netflix. But the series was eventually released only in January 2022, and was set to have a total of 40 episodes.
