Surviving Summer is an Australian drama television program for children and teenagers on Netflix. The first season is set to premiere on June 3, 2022 and will consist of 10 episodes. The series stars Sky Katz, Kai Lewis, Joao Marinho, Lilliana Bowrey, and Savannah La Rain.
The series centers on rebellious Brooklyn teen Summer Torres (Sky Katz), who is sent to live with family friends in the tiny town of Shorehaven on the Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia. Despite her best efforts, she falls in love with the town, the people, and the surf.
Surviving Summer is created by Joanna Werner and Josh Mapleston, with Werner and Stuart Menzies serving as executive producers. Series writers include Josh Mapleston, Marieke Hardy, Magda Wozniak, Keir Wilkins, Gemma Crofts, and Kirsty Fisher. Ben Chessell serves as a director, with Sian Davies and Charlotte George also directing episodes in the first season.
