Decades since their successful television series was canceled, Chip (voice of John Mulaney) has become an insurance salesman while Dale (voice of Andy Sandberg), has had CGI surgery and works the nostalgia convention circuit, desperate to relive his glory days. When a former cast mate mysteriously disappears, Chip and Dale must repair their broken friendship and take on their Rescue Rangers detective personas once again to save their friend’s life.

Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers is an American live-action/animated action-adventure comedy film based on, and a continuation of, the animated TV series of the same name, as well as the animated Disney characters Chip and Dale. The film is directed by Akiva Schaffer (Hot Rod, The Watch, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping). The screenplay is from Dan Gregor and Doug Mand, based on the television series by Tad Stones and Alan Zaslove.
This animated comedy is a co-production between Walt Disney Pictures and Mandeville Films. Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers is scheduled to be released on May 20, 2022 via streaming on Disney+ as a Disney+ original film.
