Slow Horses is a spy thriller television series based on the novel of the same name by Mick Herron. The 6-episode first season is scheduled to premiere on Apple TV+ on April 1, 2022 with the first two episodes, followed by one new episode weekly every Friday.
This spy drama follows a team of MI5 agents- and their obnoxious boss, the notorious Jackson Lamb – as they navigate the espionage world’s smoke and mirrors to defend England from sinister forces.
The series is produced for Apple by See-Saw Films and adapted for television by Will Smith (“Veep”). Executive producers of the series include Hakan Kousetta, Jamie Laurenson, James Hawes, Will Smith, Douglas Urbanski, Graham Yost, Iain Canning, Gail Mutrux, and Emile Sherman. James Hawes directed all six episodes of the season.
