Natalie and Nick have never actually met, but both happen to be at the Hayward Fountain on the same day at the same time. Tradition has it that if you throw a coin in the fountain you’ll dream about your true love for seven nights and you have just seven nights to turn dreams into reality. American singer-songwriter and actress Katharine McPhee (age 37) portrays Natalie Russo. McPhee first rose to fame as the runner-up on the fifth season of American Idol. She has released several successful albums since then and has also established an acting career. She played the lead roles on Smash co-starring in The House Bunny and Shark Night 3D. She played main roles in the television series Smash and Scorpion. Her film credits include The House Bunny, You May Not Kiss the Bride, Shark Night, “Peace, Love & Misunderstanding”, Bayou Caviar, and The Tiger Rising.
American actor and former model Mike Vogel (age 42) plays the role of Nick. He is best known for his roles in the films Grind, The Texas Chainsaw M—acre, The Help, Cloverfield, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Rumor Has It, The D–ths of Ian Stone, Across the Hall, Poseidon, Blue Valentine, She’s Out of My League, and The Case for Christ. He also starred in several television series including Grounded for Life, Bates Motel, Under the Dome, The Brave, and S–/Life.
