During World War II, Navy Lt. Neil Thomas bids Caroline, his pregnant young wife, farewell at Union Station. Startattle.com – The Lost Valentine 2011.
Neil’s plane goes down in the Pacific and he’s declared missing in action, even before their son is born. But love never dies, and for the next 65 years Caroline (Betty White) returns to Union Station on the anniversary of her loss, to salute the memory of her husband. Eventually, TV journalist Susan Allison (Jennifer Love Hewitt) learns of the touching story and sets out to profile Caroline and investigate what really happened to Neil 65 years earlier. Neil and Caroline’s grandson Lucas (Sean Faris) encourages his initially-reluctant grandmother to cooperate. Eventually, Susan and Lucas fall in love themselves.

The teleplay is written by Maryann Ridini Spencer and Barton Taney, based on the novel of the same name by James Michael Pratt. It is executive produced by Jennifer Love Hewitt and Brent Shields.
