The King’s Daughter (previously titled The Moon and the Sun) is an American action-adventure fantasy film directed by filmmaker Sean McNamara (The Legend of Galgameth, P.U.N.K.S., Treehouse Hostage, Race to Space, Bratz, Soul Surfer, Space Warriors, Cody the Robosapien, Spare Parts, The Miracle Season, Orphan Horse), from a screenplay by Barry Berman and James Schamus. It is scheduled to be released on January 21, 2022 in US theaters nationwide, by Gravitas Ventures.
The film is adapted from the 1997 novel The Moon and the Sun by Vonda N. McIntyre. It is produced by David Brookwell, Paul Currie, Wei Han, Hong Pang, Leo Shi Young. The King’s Daughter stars Pierce Brosnan, Kaya Scodelario, Benjamin Walker, William Hurt, and Julie Andrews as Narrator.
