Sundown is a drama film written and directed by filmmaker Michel Franco (Daniel and Ana, After Lucia, A los ojos, Chronic, April’s Daughter, New Order). It is produced by Eréndira Núñez Larios and Cristina Velasco. Sundown will be released in select US theaters on January 28, 2022.
This critically acclaimed film had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 4, 2021, where it was nominated for the Golden Lion for Best Film. Sundown won the Silver Star for Feature Narrative Competition at the 2021 El Gouna Film Festival.
