American actress, director and author Alison Sweeney (age 45) portrays Nicky. Sweeney is best known for her portrayal of Samantha “Sami” Brady on the soap opera Days of Our Lives, for which she has earned a Daytime Emmy Award nomination, four Soap Opera Digest Awards and a Fan Voted Daytime Emmy Award. She became the host of The Biggest Loser in its fourth season (2007), and left the series at the end of the sixteenth season in 2015. She starred in several Hallmark TV movies including Second Chances (aka Hearts on Fire), Love on the Air, The Irresistible Blueberry Farm, Christmas At Holly Lodge, Time For You To Come Home for Christmas, Good Morning Christmas, and several movies in the Hallmark tv film series “Murder, She Baked” and “Chronicle Mysteries.”
Canadian actor Brennan Elliott (age 46) portrays Derrick. Elliott is best known for his role as Dr. Nick Biancavilla in the Lifetime medical drama series, Strong Medicine (2000-2004). He later had recurring roles on the television series The 4400, Cedar Cove, and UnREAL. Elliott starred in the Hallmark movies All of My Heart, A Christmas Melody, Love You Like Christmas, All of my Heart: Inn Love, Christmas Encore, All of My Heart: The Wedding, Christmas at Grand Valley, All Summer Long, and Christmas in Vienna. He also had recurring roles in the Hallmark film series Crossword Mysteries and Flower Shop Mysteries.
Canadian actress Erica Durance (age 43) plays the role of Simone. Durance is best known for her role as Lois Lane in the superhero television series Smallville and as Dr. Alex Reid in the medical drama Saving Hope. Her film credits include The Untold, House of the Dead, The Butterfly Effect 2, Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie, and Painkillers. Durance previously starred in the Hallmark original movie Wedding Planner Mystery (2014).
