The Colour Room tells the story of a vivacious young factory worker, Clarice CLiff (Phoebe Dynevor), who lives in the industrial British midlands of the 1920s. She spends her days working in the Potteries, all while yearning to pursue her creative ambition. Driven by this, Clarice takes a job with less pay and there meets the eccentric owner, Colley Shorter (Matthew Goode). Impressed by Clarice’s creativity, Colley promotes her to a junior modeler. The film is English actress Phoebe Dynevor’s (age 26) feature film debut. Dynevor is best known for her recent starring role as Daphne Bridgerton in the Netflix period drama series Bridgerton. She also starred in several television series including Prisoners’ Wives, Dickensian, Younger, and Snatch.
