Scream (aka Scream 5 or V Scream) follows the story of a young woman who returns to her old hometown, only to encounter horrific m—-er cases connected to a notorious Ghostface-masked serial k—er.
This American meta slasher film serves as the fifth installment of the Scream film series. The film is billed as a relaunch of the franchise and is a direct sequel to 2011’s Scream 4. It is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the directors of Devil’s Due and Ready or Not. The screenplay is written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick, based on characters created by Kevin Williamson. David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and Roger L. Jackson return to reprise their original roles, while Marley Shelton also reprises her role from the previous film.
