The series centers on Joe Kimbreau as he makes a pivotal, life-changing decision at his graduation from Syracuse University. The three parallel stories that diverge from that night find Joe and the people around him with different careers, relationships, and family lives. The show follows Joe on three parallel timelines, starting 10 years after his graduation: as a police officer, following in his father’s footsteps; as a musician, following his passion; and as a nurse, after he marries his college sweetheart.
