It is the third Nancy Drew television series, following The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries (1977-1979) and a 1995 Canadian-American version. The series debuted on The CW on October 9, 2019 and was renewed for a second season which premiered on January 20, 2021. In February 2021, the series was renewed for a third season, which is set to premiere on October 8, 2021.
