This drama film had premiered at the 2020 SXSW Film Festival and played at several festivals in 2020. Krisha Fairchild’s tour-de-force performance earned her a Jury Prize for Best Actress and the Spark Award at the 2020 RiverRun International Film Festival, where the film also won for Best Editing. She also received the Special Jury Recognition: Honorable Mention for Acting at the 2020 Sidewalk Film Festival. Freeland’s directors, Mario Furloni and Kate McLean, won Best Narrative Feature at the Nevada City Film Festival, US (2020); Grand Jury Prize for New Directors Competition at the Nashville Film Festival (2020); and Best Narrative Feature at the BendFilm Festival (2020).
