This meditative vision of human souls in limbo aching to be born against unimaginable odds, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2020, where it won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award – Dramatic, for Edson Oda. Lead actors Winston Duke and Zazie Beetz received Excellence in Acting Award at the Denver International Film Festival 2020.
Sony Classics is set to release Nine Days in select US theaters on July 30, 2021.
