Meander follows Lisa (Gaia Weiss), who wakes up in a bizarre tube after getting a car ride from an unknown man. On her arm is strapped a bracelet with a countdown. She soon understands that every 10 minutes, fire burns a section in the tube and she has no choice but to crawl into safe sections to survive. This science fiction, horror-thriller film, (aka Méandre in French) is written and directed by French filmmaker Mathieu Turi, in his second feature after the multi-awarded film Hostile (2017). Meander stars Gaia Weiss, Peter Franzen, and Romane Libert.

Meander 2021
Meander is produced by Julien Deris, David Gauquié, Eric Gendarme, Sandra Karim, and Thomas Lubeau. The film premiered at the Sitges Film Festival on October 11, 2020 and was released in France in May, 2021. Meander is scheduled to be released by Gravitas Ventures in select US theaters and on VOD on July 9, 2021.
Like his first feature film Hostile, Turi’s Meander also won several awards including Best Feature Film at the Bilbao Fantasy Film Festival 2021; Best Actress – International Competition (Gaia Weiss) at the Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre 2020; Best Actress (Weiss) and Best Visual Effects at FilmQuest 2021; Best International Feature Film – Festival Prize at LUSCA International Filmfest 2020; Best Actress (Weiss), Best Director, and Best Sci-Fi Feature at the New York City Horror Film Festival 2020; Best Director Feature at the Nightmares Film Festival 2020; Best Cinematography – Parsec Award at the Other Worlds Austin SciFi Film Festival 2020; and Best Film – Nocturno Nuove Visioni Award at the Trieste Science+Fiction Festival 2020. In addition, Meander received a total of 50 nominations from the film festivals where it screened.
