This World Alone 2021
Following a cataclysmic event, Sam (Belle Adams), a book-obsessed girl in her teens, attempts to survive with her two mother figures in a world without technology or power. Willow (Sophie Edwards) believes in a world of compassion and empathy while Connie (Carrie Walrond Hood) believes in an “only the strong survive,” mentality. Those opposing philosophies are put to the test when an accident forces Sam out of her home for the first time and journeys to a nearby settlement for help. She meets Dart (Lau’rie Roach), a young man out on a “walkabout” trying to prove himself to his father-figure. Sam and Dart come of age together as they face the challenges of a world reclaimed by nature and attempt to stay a step ahead of their tracker, Levi (Brandon O’Dell).
This World ALone is produced by Mandy Cate and Hudson Phillips. The film debuted at the Rome International Film Festival on November 2, 2018. It is set to be released by 1091 direct-to-VOD on May 18, 2021.
