Space Jam: A New Legacy (aka Space Jam 2) tells the story of basketball champion LeBron James and his son Dom (Cedric Joe), who are both trapped in a virtual space by a rogue algorithm named Al-G Rhythm (Don Cheadle). LeBron must get them home safe by leading Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Lola Bunny and the whole gang of undisciplined Looney Tunes to victory over the Al-G’s digitized champions on the court. This American live-action/animated sports comedy film is directed by Malcolm D. Space Jam 2 stars LeBron James, Don Cheadle, Khris Davis, Sonequa Martin-Green, and Cedric Joe in live-action roles. Space Jam 2 movie
Space Jam: A New Legacy serves as a reboot to Space Jam (1996) and marks the first theatrically-released film to feature the Looney Tunes characters since Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003). Like the previous hybrid films, it will be a combination of live-action and traditional hand drawn 2D animation with some CGI effects.
Space Jam 2 is scheduled to be released by Warner Bros. Pictures in the US on July 16, 2021, both in theaters and on HBO Max for a month after its theatrical release.
