Before he was unmasked, the Snail peformed “You Make My Dreams” by Hall & Oates.
No one among the panelists was able to guess who Snail is, although Jenny McCarthy came close. Meanwhile, most fans of the The Masked Singer were shocked when the Snail was unmasked and his identity was revealed.
So who is the Snail on The Masked Singer?
The Snail was revealed as Muppet character and A-List amphibian Kermit the Frog (performed by Matt Vogel).
Robin Thicke‘s first impression guess was American actor, writer, producer, and singer Seth MacFarlane. He stuck with his guess because of the clue that Snail is a host, director, writer, and producer of albums.
For his first impression, Ken Jeong said Snail could be American television host, comedian, and writer Jay Leno. He stuck with his guess because of the talk show theme and the bear for his cameo in Ted 2.
Jenny McCarthy‘s first impression guess was American radio personality, comedian, actor, and podcaster Adam Carolla. She changed her guess to Sen. Ted Cruz, because she remembered Sarah Palin from Season 3, and because there’s an American Eagle with Dr. Drew and a bear named Ted.
Nicole Scherzinger‘s first impression guess was also Adam Carolla. But she changed her guess to Billy Crystal. She said he’s also legendary, an iconic tv host, jack of all trades, and he rubs shoulders with everybody.

Everyone was ecstatic with the cutest reveal ever on The Masked Singer. Jenny McCarthy exclaimed that she even said it out loud that Snail sounds like Kermit the Frog.
Kermit said, “It’s not easy being green, but sometimes it’s even harder being a snail. I am never gonna hear the end of this from Miss Piggy.”
One clue about the Snail was explained after the reveal – the giant teddy bear is a clue to Kermit the Frog’s best friend, the lovable Fozzie Bear.
Kermit the Frog is a Muppet character created and originally performed by Jim Henson. He was introduced in 1955, and serves as the straight man protagonist of numerous Muppet productions, most notably “Sesame Street” and “The Muppet Show”.
Henson performed Kermit until his death in 1990, and then Steve Whitmire performed Kermit from that time until his dismissal in 2016. Kermit has been performed by Matt Vogel from 2017.
Kermit the Frog performed the hit singles “Bein’ Green” in 1970 and “Rainbow Connection” in 1979 for The Muppet Movie, the first feature-length film featuring the Muppets.
The fifth season of the American television series The Masked Singer had its premiere on Fox on March 10, 2021.

The season began with two groups of five, Group A and Group B, then will introduce a new twist in which “wild card” contestants will enter the competition throughout the run of the show for a chance to unseat another contestant. The contestants for Season 5 have a combined “26 Grammy nominations, nine multi-platinum singles, four Oscar nominations, three Super Bowl appearances, six gold medals and two world records among them”.
