Nick Jonas thought it was an excellent performance and Rio’s voice was impressive. Kelly Clarkson said Rio’s tone is really cool but noted that Rio would swallow the words a bit to where she couldn’t understand. “Work with that just a little bit and I think, like, you got an incredible gift. It’s really impressive,” she said.
John Legend said none of them could tell that Rio was 16. Excited to work with her, John welcomed Rio to his team with a short song.
