This is Liahona’s first time singing with someone who isn’t a family member. Being without her brother, Ammon, after he was eliminated in the Genre round the previous night, is really starting to weigh on her. Katy Perry later admonished Liahona for her lackluster performance. She said, “There’s other people behind me that want it more and are gonna fight tooth and nail to get it. And you’re wasting everybody’s time. We said to you early on in this competition that you could be Top 10, and you know who’s sabotaging it? You. You are being defeated, the whole time. And you’re putting her dreams on the line. And that’s really selfish. You took this whole ship down.” Despite Katy’s lecture, both Laila Mach and Liahona Olayan advanced to the next round, but the good news was accompanied by Katy’s stern warning for Liahona: “Don’t ever do that again.”

The nineteenth season of the reality show singing competition American Idol premiered on February 14, 2021 on the ABC television network. It is the fourth season to air on ABC since the series reboot; Ryan Seacrest returns as host. Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie return as judges and Bobby Bones as mentor.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, the show offered its first ever live virtual auditions to aspiring contestants through its Idol Across America program using custom-built Zoom technology. The remote auditions took place from August 10 to October 28, 2020 in 50 states plus Washington, D.C. as well as a number of open call auditions, and from these the producers selected the contestants who can then audition in front of the judges.
“Stay” is the second single released from Rihanna’s seventh studio album, Unapologetic (2012). The song features guest vocals by Mikky Ekko, and was released on January 7, 2013. It reached number one in Bulgaria, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark and Israel and the top five in twenty-four countries worldwide. It peaked at number three on the US Billboard Hot 100, charted at number one on the US Pop Songs chart and at number 16 on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart. The single has sold over 10 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best selling singles of all time.
