All American is an American sports drama TV series, created by April Blair that premiered on The CW on October 10, 2018. In April 2019, the series was renewed for a second season, which premiered on October 7, 2019. The series was renewed by CW for a third season which premiered on January 18, 2021.
The series is inspired by the life of professional American football player Spencer Paysinger with Daniel Ezra in the lead role as Spencer James, a star wide receiver at Crenshaw High School. James transfers to Beverly Hills High to play American football, but is switched to playing Cornerback. Because of his transfer, the wins, losses and struggles of two families from vastly different worlds-Crenshaw and Beverly Hills-begin to collide. All American is from Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios in association with Berlanti Productions. Its executive producers include Greg Berlanti, Nkechi Okoro Carroll, Sarah Schechter, and John A. Norris.
