Before she was unmasked, the Dragon performed “Make You Feel My Love” by Adele. She was pitted against semi-finalists Badger, Harlequin, Robin and Sausage.
So who is the Dragon on The Masked Singer UK 2021?
Dragon was revealed as English comedian, broadcaster, presenter, actress, and writer Sue Perkins (age 51), best known as television presenter of “The Great British Bake Off” and “Insert Name Here.”
Some fans of The Masked Singer correctly guessed who the Dragon is prior to her unmasking. But no one among the judges was able to guess her identity correctly.

Davina McCall said Sue Perkins’ New York accent was a blinder. Sue thanked her for being the only one who believed in it.
Asked what it was like being Dragon, Sue replied, “Being Dragon is liberating and brilliant. I’ve been able to be playful and silly and childlike and scary and all those things that sometimes you can’t be. Every second has been brilliant.”
Praised for her good voice, Sue said she would never ever sing and that’s why she wanted to be on The Masked Singer. “I am terrified of performing any kind of music or singing in public. And what will be interesting, is singing without the big dragon head on. We’ll see if it’s sort of broken the spell for me to be able to just go out there and be me. But everyone should unleash their inner dragon or blob or alien or whatever they’ve got.” Sue proved to be a good singer even without the Dragon mask.
The clues for Dragon were explained after the reveal. The clue song “All by Myself” referred to Sue appearing as Dragon without sidekick Mel Giedroyc. Dragon was podcasting in the surveillance VT is a nod to Sue’s podcast “An Hour or so with…” Sue presents a show that analyses “Game of Thrones,” (GOT) hence “Arya Gonna Guess Who I Am?” – points to a character in GOT. “Absolutely Fabulous” was a clue to Sue being a writer on the television sitcom of the same name. The lightbulbs in her clue VT hinted to “Light Lunch,” which she presented with Mel.
The second series of the British version of The Masked Singer premiered on ITV on December 26, 2020.
Joel Dommett, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, and Rita Ora all returned for their second season as host and panelists. Ken Jeong was replaced by British comedian Mo Gilligan on the panel for series two, due to travel restrictions from the COVID-19 pandemic which prevented Jeong’s participation.
The series features 12 contestants, namely Alien, Badger, Blob, Bush Baby, Dragon, Grandfather Clock, Harlequin, Robin, Sausage, Seahorse, Swan, and Viking.
