The Badger was unmasked during the Finale on The Masked Singer UK (Series 2). His identity was revealed after he finished in second place in the reality singing competition. So who is the Badger on The Masked Singer UK 2021?
Badger was revealed as American singer-songwriter, record producer, actor, dancer and television judge Ne-Yo (age 41), best known for his hit songs “So Sick”, “Closer”, “Miss Independent”, and Let Me Love You (Until You Learn to Love Yourself); and as judge for the reality competition series World of Dance alongside Jennifer Lopez and Derek Hough.
A lot of The Masked Singer UK fans correctly guessed who the Badger is prior to his unmasking. Except for guest judge Nicola Roberts, the Series 1 winner of The Masked Singer, no one among the panelists was able to guess Badger’s identity.

Ne-Yo said he was trying to disguise his voice in the first couple of his performances. “But then after a while, I was like, okay they’re way off, I’m gonna just sing now,” he said.
Asked what it was like being Badger, Ne-Yo said he had so much fun. “I really like it. It’s a great experience. I would happily do it again but I might have to work a little harder to fool you guys,” he said.
The clues for Badger were explained after the reveal. Ne-Yo got his name from a friend who said he sees music the way Neo sees the Matrix, hence the clue “I see things like a virtual world.” “Look at all my awards” was a nod to Ne-Yo having won multiple awards including Grammys and MOBOs. “More than one type of studio” points to Ne-Yo being a music producer, a Hollywood actor and TV judge. The Millner web page was a clue to Ne-Yo owning over 12,000 hats and never being seen without some sort of head gear. The letter from Barbra in the surveillance VT, referred to Ne-Yo performing at a Barbra Streisand tribute concert.
The second series of the British version of The Masked Singer premiered on ITV on December 26, 2020.
Joel Dommett, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, and Rita Ora all returned for their second season as host and panelists. Ken Jeong was replaced by British comedian Mo Gilligan on the panel for series two, due to travel restrictions from the COVID-19 pandemic which prevented Jeong’s participation.
The series features 12 contestants, namely Alien, Badger, Blob, Bush Baby, Dragon, Grandfather Clock, Harlequin, Robin, Sausage, Seahorse, Swan, and Viking.
