American actress, producer, author, and talk show panelist Candace Cameron Bure (age 44) plays the title character Aurora Teagarden. Bure is known for Full House, Fuller House, Make it or Break It, and for the Aurora Teagarden novel series. She was also a co-host of the daytime television talk show The View and was a contestant on season 18 of Dancing with the Stars. Her film credits include Some Kind of Wonderful, Punchline, Monster Mash, The Wager, and Faith of Our Fathers. She made several Hallmark TV movies including Christmas Town, A Shoe Addict’s Christmas, Switched for Christmas, Journey Back to Christmas, Just the Way You Are, Christmas Under Wraps, Let It Snow, and If I Only Had Christmas.
Canadian-American actor Niall Matter (age 40) portrays the role of Nick Miller. Matter became known for his role in the television series The Best Years, Eureka, and Primeval: New World. He then starred in several television movies and later joined Canadian television series “Remedy” and “Arctic Air”. Aside from his starring role in Hallmark Channel’s movie series Aurora Teagarden Mysteries, Matter also joined Hallmark’s When Calls the Heart (Season 4) and the franchise series Father Christmas. He also starred in some Hallmark original romance movies including Stop the Wedding, Frozen in Love, Love at First Dance, Christmas at Dollywood, Country at Heart, and Never Kiss a Man in a Christmas Sweater.
